The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s annual charity gala came and went like a whirlwind, and the stars really brought their A-game! Designers showed comradery by supporting their peers (i.e. Marc Jacobs wearing Saint Laurent.) Actors and musicians wowed in custom creations, some walking the carpet with the designers. However, the Victoria’s Secret models seemed to prove who does it best, wearing surprisingly stunning Top Shop and classic silhouettes (like Karlie Kloss in De La Renta, opera gloves and all.)
Being that this is THE fashion event of the year for Manhattan and, really, the fashion world, we appreciate over-the-top glamour. We loved seeing new silhouettes and color pairings, separates, and lots of volume. The Olsen Twins donned vintage Chanel, which was an unexpected twist that still offered lots of drama. Speaking of drama, we couldn’t keep our eyes off of Zac Posen’s room-filling gowns. Are favorites are Dita Von Teese’s neoprene nude and red fishtail gown and Liu Wen’s ocean waves.
Considering that its Monday, and many of us are currently sitting at our desks, and maybe some are toiling away at a job that doesn’t really let them spread their creative wings, we figured there’s no better time for an inspiration post! Wether you are a designer, accountant, or a stay at home mom, there’s always room for some motivational images to jog the artist in you.
It’s that transitional time of year where the leaves are soon going to change colors and the weather will drop in temperature (yes, even in Miami!) New York Fashion Week has swept in like a whirlwind which means it’s time to darken those color palettes and gear up for the end of the year (while designers prepare for Spring.) We here at Cecilia Gonzales are fully prepared, with an amazing line of gorgeous jewelry to complement any cool-weather ensemble. Check out some of the earrings HERE, on sale for a “secret” limited sale, just in time to stock up.
Here are some beautiful people, interesting photos and intriguing design/outfits that get our gears moving. We hope they inspire you as well!
We are finally back in Miami but we already miss NYC! For those of you lucky enough to be in New York right now, make sure to take a trip over to Norbu in Williamsburg. The cozy boutique is home to many amazing jewelry designers, including Cecilia Gonzales’ line of beautiful pieces. While we were in the city we, of course, had to stop by and see how everything was going.
The store has jewelry displays as far as the eye can see- you can easily spend hours in the store just wandering from designer to designer. The store is peaceful- you really start to feel at home and comfortable, which is nice in the day and age of fast fashion and even faster transactions. Take a second to breathe in the light scents and enjoy the natural sunlight pouring into the wood-adorned boutique. The jewelry in this shop is all hand picked by Sang, the shop owner, and beautifully curated alongside special gift items.
Stop by the Williamsburg store- just make sure you’ve got time to leisurely browse and try on lots of gorgeous baubles. Trust us, you’ll want to stay a while.
Hello New York City! We are back once again to the City That Never Sleeps for ENK’s Accessorie Circuit show and we couldn’t be more excited. The weather is gorgeous, the people watching (when we have time) is always entertaining, and the scenery has that classic New York attitude that really makes the city come alive.
We stumbled upon these great walls on the way to the show, showcasing Street Art in it’s rawest form- Graffiti. The huge pieces are so vibrant and eye catching. Something about these walls is so trained, so experienced and professional, yet so whimsical and free that we had to share them with you! Please enjoy, and get inspired!
